These mini chicken pies are great for kids lunchboxes, or as a snack on the go. They are easy, tasty and freezer friendly.
Recipe:
×1 roll store bought puff pastry
500g Hanskraal Free range Chicken Mince
200g grated cheese of choice
Spices of your preference x1 egg
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Flour your surface and roll out the defrosted puff pastry slightly.
- Mix the Free Range Chicken mince, spices and Cheese together in a mixing bowl.
- Place Mince Mixture in the middle of the puff pastry and roll into one long sausage roll like pie.
- Cut into 2cm pieces, press firmly to form a mini sausage roll (refer to pictures, to see how they should look).
- Place on baking paper on a baking try, brush with egg wash and bake for 20min or until golden brown.
